Pachytene

During the pachytene stage, bivalent chromosome clearly appears as tetrads. This stage is characterized by the appearance of recombination nodules, the sites at which crossing over between non-sister chromatids of the homologous chromosome and then crossing over takes place.

I hope it help u

Explanation:

Recombination occures during the prolonged prophase of meiosis -1 .prophase 1 is the longest and arguably most impi segment of meiosis, because recombination occures during this intervals .For many years ,Cytologists have divided prophase 1 into multiple segments, based upon the appearance of the meiotic chromosomes .
