Genghis Khan was the originator and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, which matured into the biggest adjoining union of Empire in records after his death.

He came to leadership by embracing many of the wandering tribes of Northeast Asia. After establishing the Empire and being announced "Genghis Khan", he originated the Mongol attacks that captured most of Eurasia.
