  • Leh (Ladakh) has had various names throughout history. Some referred to it as Maryul or low land, while others dubbed it Kha-chumpa. It was known as Ma-Lo-Pho by Hiuen Tsang and Kia-Chha by Fa-Hein.
  • The most notable features of Ladakh are its beautiful landscapes, clear skies, highest mountain passes, exhilarating adventure pursuits, Buddhist monasteries, and festivals.
