Air is a fluid just like water.it also flows one area to another bcoz of a difference in pressure.In the open air ,air flows from a higher pressure to a lower pressure.wind is air that is moving from a higher pressure to a lower pressure

Explanation:

Air flows(or wind) happens due to formation of high and low pressure regions which is related to the temperature there for.eg the breeze that flows in coastalareas In this case, during the day,the land is hotter than the sea due to difference in heat capacities which creates a low pressure region on land (air rises up) and sea being cooler,has a higer pressure region over it so air flows from sea towards the land. exactly reverse happens after sunset, the land cooles down the faster,and the sea is hotter compared to it which creates a lower pressure zone over the sea when compared to land, and consequently the wind reverse its direction
