Step-by-step explanation:

Correction:-

Which numbers are equal to their shares ?

Given :-

Geogre and Asha shared 35 mangoes in the ratio 2:3.

To find :-

Which number are equal to their shares ?

Solution :-

Method -1:-

Given that

Total number of mangoes = 35

The ratio of shares of George and Asha = 2:3

Let the share of George = 2X

Let the share of Asha = 3X

Total mangoes=2X+3X = 5X

According to the given problem

Total mangoes = 35

=> 5X = 35

=> X = 35/5

=> X = 7

Now, 2X = 2(7)=14

and 3X = 3(7) = 21

Method-2:-

Given that

The ratio of shares of George and Asha = 2:3

Total parts = 2+3 = 5

Total mangoes = 35

5 parts = 35

=> 1 part = 35/5 = 7

2 parts = 2(7)=14

3 parts = 3(7) = 21

(if their squares are asked then

The square of 14 = 14²=196

The square of 21=21² = 441)

Answer:-

The share of George = 14

The share of Asha = 21
