x = 3, y =2, x=-1 and y= -2

To find:

Geometrical figures enclosed by x = 3, y =2, x=-1 and y= -2

Solution:

As we have given the equations and the line of the given equations are parallel to their respective axis.

x = 3 is parallel to y-axis and x= - 1 is also parallel to y-axis

And the distance between these two points is 3-(-1) = 4 units

y = 2 is parallel to x-axis and y = - 2 is also parallel to x-axis

And the distance between these two points is 2-(-2) = 4 units

From the given lines you get the parallelogram and we know that the coordinate axis is perpendicular on each other so line parallel to the x-axis is perpendicular to the line parallel to the y-axis

And the opposite sides of the parallelogram is equal

So the Obtained figure will be Square
