so now now cos 60 is 1/2
thus cos theta=1/2
now then apply sin square+cos square=1
substitute values of sin and cos
so (root upon 2)whole squate+(1 upon 2 )whole square
you get 3/4+1/4
which is nothing but 1
so lhs=rhs
