The required distance between the points (4, 0) and (- 3, 4) is

  = \sqrt{ {(4 - ( - 3))}^{2} + (0 - 4) ^{2}  }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {(4 + 3)}^{2} +   {( - 4)}^{2} }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {7}^{2}  +  {4}^{2} }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{49 + 16}  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{65}

Therefore, option (B) is correct.
