length=35cm
breadth=12cm
to find its diagonal,
if the rectangle is quadrilateral ABCD,
then we can consider,
length=AB=35cm
breadth=BC=12cm
diagonal=AC=?
also we can say,
diagonal=AC=hypotenuse,______1
according to Pythagoras theorem,
(h.) {2}  = (s. \: o.) {2}  + (s.\: t.) {2}  \\ (ac) {2} = (ab) {2}  + (bc) {2}  \\ (ac) {2}   = (35) {2}  + (12) {2}  \\
(ac) {2}  = 1225 + 144 \\ (ac) {2}  = 1369 \\ ac =  \sqrt{1369}
ac = 37

from equation 1 we can say diagonal=37cm
