Answer:

c) 123

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ the opposite sides of a parallelogram is equal

5x + 4y = 7x - 2  (Just a simple property of the shape;)

4y + 2 = 2x

x = 2y + 1

Also,

2y + x = 3y + 5

2y + 2y + 1 = 3y + 5 = 4y + 1 = 3y + 5  (Replacing the values)

y = 4

And ∵ y = 4

x = 2y + 1

∴ x = 2 x 4 + 1 = 9

But we need to find the angle BCD

The opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal (Just another property of it)

∴ 5a - 3 = 4a + 9

a = 12

Therefore angle BCD = 12 x 5 - 3 = 57

Sum of all the sides of a parallelogram is 360°.

And the sum of a pair of adjacent angle = 180°.

∴ angle BCD = 180° - 57 = 123

Just some simple calculations

Hope you understood :)
