She was born to Robert and Christiana as their 3rd child on 22nd November 1819 at Warwickshire.
She wrote seven novels - Adam Bede, The Mill on the Floss, Silas Marner, Romola, Felix Holt - the Radical, Middlemarch, and Daniel Deronda. Her writings also included several poems like Agatha, Brother and Sister, Armgart, Stradivarius, The Legend of Jubal, I Grant You Ample Leave, Arion, A Minor Prophet, A College Breakfast Party, The Death of Moses, In a London Drawingroom and Count That Day Lost.
