George starts walking towards east direction. After walking 15 km he turns towards north and walks 8km. Now he turns to the west and walks 18km. From there he turns to his left and walks 5 km. Now, again turns to his left and walks 3km. From there he turns to his right and walks 2km. Now he turns to his right and moves 8km and then turns to his right and walks 3km. Finally turns to his right and walks 4km and reached the final position. If George walks a distance of 4 km in east direction from his final position, then how far is George from his initial position? 2km 3km 4km 5km

George is 4 km North of Initial position if George walks a distance of 4 km in east direction from his final position,

Directions:

        NORTH

WEST          EAST

        SOUTH

EAST  15 km

NORTH  8 km

WEST 18 km

Left from West means SOUTH  5 km

Left to South Mean EAST 3 km

Right to East means SOUTH 2 km

Right to South Means WEST  8  km

Right to West Mean NORTH  3 km

Right to North Mean EAST  4 km

walks a distance of 4 km in east direction from his final position

EAST = 4 km

WEST = - EAST  and SOUTH = - NORTH

EAST = 15 - 18 + 3 - 8 + 4 + 4  = 0 km

NORTH = 8 - 5 - 2 + 3  = 4 km

Hence George is 4 km North of Initial position

Hence 4 km away

Correct option is 4 km.
