Given :-

Georgia is jogging with a velocity of 4 m/sec when she accelerates at 22 m/s² for 3 seconds.

To find :-

How fast is Georgia running now

Solution :-

  • Initial velocity = 4m/s

  • Acceleration = 22m/s²

  • Time = 3s

According to first equation of motion

→ v = u + at

Where " v " is final velocity, " u " is initial velocity, " a " is acceleration and " t " is time.

  • According to question

→ v = u + at

→ v = 4 + 22 × 3

→ v = 4 + 22 × 3

→ v = 4 + 66

→ v = 70 m/s

Hence,

  • Final velocity is 70 m/s

More to know :-

  • s = ut + ½ at² (second equation of motion)
  • v² = u² + 2as (third equation of motion)
  • Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity.
  • Acceleration in negative is known as retardation

Answer :-

  • Georgia is running 70m/s.

Given :-

  • Georgia is jogging with a velocity of 4 m/sec when she accelerates at 22 m/s² for 3 seconds.

To Find :-

  • How fast is Georgia running now ?

Solution :-

Here

  • Initial velocity = 4m/s
  • Acceleration = 22m/
  • Time = 3s

From the first equation of motion,

v = u + at

Where

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time

Put the values in the formula

According to question :-

v = u + at

→ v = 4 + 22 × 3

→ v = 4 + 66

→ v = 70m/s

Hence, the final velocity is 70m/s.
