Given : Gerald is one-fifth his father Ronald's age and Sue is one-seventh her mother Nancy's age. In 21

years, Gerald will be half his father's age and in 8 years, Sue will be a third the age of Nancy.

Step-by-step explanation:

Father Age (Ronald)  = 5F

Gerald is one-fifth his father Ronald's age = F

Mother Age  (Nancy ) = 7S

Sue is one-seventh her mother Nancy's age = D

In 21  years, Gerald will be half his father's age

=> F + 21 = (1/2) (5F + 21)

=> 2F + 42 = 5F + 21

=> 3F = 21

=> F = 7

in 8 years, Sue will be a third the age of Nancy

=> S + 8  = (1/3)(7S + 8)

=> 3S + 24 = 7S + 8

=> 4S = 16

=> S = 4

Gerald Age = 7 Years

Sue Age = 4 Years

Sue is 3 year younger than Gerald
