Germany was defeated in World War One due to the interference of USA, USA sided with the allies and defeated the central powers. Germany was blamed for the loss faced by the allies in the war and had to agree to a treaty called the Versailles treaty for peace. The treaty demilitarised Germany, took away its overseas colonies, it lost 75% iron and 26%of its coal. Germany also had to pay 6 billion euros to the allies as compensation. The Allies had also occupied Rhineland for much of the 1920’s.
