Hey there !!!

let the Marked price be x

now , 12% of x = = x/100 × 12 = 12x/100

it is sold for rs 880

that means ,

x - 12x/100 = 880

100x-12x/100 = 880

88x/100 = 880

88x = 88000

x = 1000

hence the Marked price of the article is raining 1000

hope it helps !!!

HEY MATE!!

MARKET PRICE BE 'X'

12% of X will be 12X / 100

SELLING PRICE = 880 RS

therefore,

X- 12X/100= 880

100X-12X/100 = 880

88X/100 = 880

88X = 88000

X = 1000

Therefore the marked price of an article is 1000 RS
