glass with a little water inside and a metal
spoon. Moderately strike the glass with the
spoon. After striking, touch the glass gently
and observe the water inside. You may repeat
it many times.
Be careful not to break the glass.
Questions:
1. Do you hear the sound?
2. Does the glass vibrate?
3. How about the water, does it move too?
4. If the glass and water will no longer moving, will you hear it sound?
5. Were you able to prove that vibrating objects produce sound?
6. Were you able to prove that when vibrations stop, sound stops too?
