Explanation:

1.In a. modern periodic table, tge eleements are arranged in the order of increasing atomic number. In the modern periodic table there are 7 horizontal rows called periods and 18 vertical columns called groups.

2.Each box represent the place for one element. Apart from these 7 rows, there are 2 rows of elements placed seperately placed at the bottom of the periodic table. They are Lanthanides and Actinides series.

3. On the basis of electronic configuration, the elements in the modern periodic table are divided in to the 4 blocks.

@. d-block:constitutes groups 3 to 12.
