Gillu full story in english
Answers
Gillu is written by the famous writer Mahadevi Verma.
It is a touching story of a squirrel named Gillu. The writer sees a yellow bud in sonjuhi and is reminded of the little squirrel who used to hide in the greenery and suddenly jump on her shoulders when she came near.
She tells about how Gillu came into her life. One day she saw two crows playing near a pot when she noticed that there was a tiny creature lying almost lifeless behind it. The writer picked him up and nursed him back to health. She named him Gillu. She put him in a flower basket and hung it near the window.
Then the writer tells very beautifully about the way in which he used to play with her and became an inseparable part of her life for two years.
When he died she buried him under his favorite hideout under the creeper of sonjuhi. The writer gains satisfaction from the belief that some day in spring he will blossom as a yellow flower there.
