Primitive cultures of parents minds that boys should be educated more than girls as they were the bread winners while the girls would just do the domestic household work.
Girls are deprived of Secondary Education because of the following reasons:
a. Society's mind set which prefers boys getting better secondary and higher education.
b. Poverty- Due to which people are unable to provide basic education to their children
c. Lack of facilities- There is no proper educational schooling facilities for girls more so in rural areas.
d. Entire notion of private public divide which is so well entrenched in Indian Society where women's domain is to be private, her own household.
e. Increasing crime against women, act as a deterrent as it prevents parents more in rural areas to send them to schools.
f. In villages women also constitute a major agricultural workforce which again works to their disadvantage.
