Girls should not be encouraged to participate in sports or games.I disagree this sentence why?

According to my opinion, the girls and boys are all equal and must be treated equally without any discrimination.
We participate in sports or games to be fit and increase our stamina.
This phenomenon is important for both girls and boys.
Even the girls need to be strong and so they should not be DISCOURAGED to participate in sports and games.
