she moves 60 km towards west along the same road. If the distance

towards east is represented by a positive integer then, how will you

represent the distance travelled towards west? By which integer will

Distance travelled towards east is represented with positive integer so it should be 40km.

As west is opposite to east so distance in the direction of west will be represented by negative integer so distance along west is 60km

Final position will be net displacement =40+(−60)=−20km,

as it is negative so it shows that finally Rita is in west to its initial position.
