Explanation:

Combination reaction

CaO (s) + H2O (l) ---> Ca(OH)2 (aq)

  • In this reaction , calcium oxide and water combine to form a single product , calcium hydroxide.
  • Reactions in which a single product is formed from two or more reactants are called combination reaction.

Decomposition reaction

CaCO3 (s) ----> CaO (s) + CO2 (g)

  • In this reaction calcium carbonate breaks into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.
  • Reactions in which a reactant split into two or more products are called decomposition reaction.

Displacement Reaction

Fe (s) + CuSO4 (aq) ----> FeSO4 (aq) + Cu (s)

  • In this reaction , iron displaced copper from copper sulphate solution.
  • Reactions in which a more reactive element displaces other element from its compound are called displacement reaction.
