The last one digit number is 9.

Twice of it is 18.

3/4 less than it means:

18 - 3/4
=(72 - 3)/4
=69/4

Thus, 69/4 is the required rational number.

Largest one digit number - 9

Twice of 9 = 2 × 9 = 18

3/4 of 18
= 3/4 × 18
= 3/2 × 9
= 27/2

So, 18 - 27/2
= 36/2 - 27/2
= 9/2
= 4.5
