Explanation: A motor neuron can initiate an impulse in the target cells by use of neurotransmitters like acetylcholine or serotonin. In muscle cells acetylcholine is released by the neuron terminal at neuromuscular junction. This then binds to its specific receptors on the outside of muscle fiber to initiate a response. Similarly, serotonin can bring about the activation of T cells.
