Ragi :-

• Ragi is a crop of subtropical climate
• It grows best in moist climate
• It grows during may to September
• It is important staple food crop of parts of eastern and central africa and india
• It is most important cereal in karnataka
• Ragi mature in 3-5 months to after sowing

Jowar:-

• It can be grown in both kharif and rabi season
• soil : it can be grown in variety of soil like loamy and sandy soil clayey soil as well as alluvial
• climate :- The ideal climate for cultivation of jowar should be warm and arid
• Temperature :- it need 26-33 degree temperature
• Topography :- mostly it is grown in plain area but it can be grown in gentle sloping area

Bajra:-

• it is popularly known as *pearl millet"
• this is basically originated from india and africa
• it is coarse grain
• Rajasthan is leading producer
• grows well in dry and warm climatic condition

• ideal temperature needed :- 20°cto 30° c
• It can be grown in variety of soils :- it thrives best in black cotton soil ,sandy loam soil having good drainage
