The reasons for UP, BIHAR and WEST BENGAL being highly populated are :-

1. These states lie in the plain region where the soil is most fertile and there is no terrains.

2. These states rivers like Ganga , Yamuna and Saraswati and Sonriver also. This leads to help in cultivation very easily and farming is done on a great basis.

3. The transport system is very easier as tese areas don't have much terrains and plateaus and mountains. It has led in making the transport system like Roadways, railway very easy.
