What is an output device??

An output device is a device which gives result for whatever input we give. We come to know what is happening in these computers only because of the output devices. An output device converts hard language by computers such as binary into easy and understandable english language.

Examples of output device:

  • Monitor: Monitor is a output device which displays result on screen . It is the most essential to see the output on screen. It is the one which also gives look to the computer. Nowadays these monitors are getting so advanced that we can see ultra HD quality pictures.
  • Speakers: Speaker is a output device which is used to hear audio and understand a video properly. Speakers are now so advanced that we can hear sounds upto theatrical level.
  • Printer: A printer is a output device which is used to get any form of an object onto paper. It converts a soft copy in the computer to a hard copy.It can be useful for submitting reports and many other things
  • Headphone: A headphone is an output device generally used for listening to audio. It has a U-shaped structure and it is put over the ears in such a way the ear cushion comes on the ear and this gives a better and louder quality of sound. Bass is boosted using headphones as this is made in such a way that the sounds coming from around us wont have any effect on the sound quality. It is now used mostly for listening to music, audio conferencing and now we even have bluetooth headphones available in the market

There are many other output devices such as  audio card and many more.

Answer:-

Output Device

An output device is a piece of computer hardware that receives data from a computer and then translates that data into another form. That form may be audio, visual, textual, or hard copy such as a printed document.

The key distinction between an input device and an output device is that an input device sends data to the computer, whereas an output device receives data from the computer.
