Give 5 Characteristics of Magnetic Field Lines ?

Characteristics of Magnetic FIeld Lines :

1. They are closed.

2. They never intersect each other (The reason behind this is that if they do intersec then at that very point there will be two directions of the resultant magnetic field, which of course isn't possible).

3. They run from North pole to South pole outside the magnet and from the South pole to the North pole inside the magnet.

4. Their density decreases as one moves away from the magnet.

5.The magnetic strength at a point is determined by the no. of Magnetic Field Lines around that point.
