1.breaking of a glass plate

- a glass plate shatters into many pieces when it breaks.each broken piece of the glass plate is still glass and no new substance is formed.

2.drying of wet clothes

-evaporation of water takes place when wet clothes dry. the water in the clothes changes to its vapour state on absorbing heat from the surroundings.

3.melting of ice

-it involves a chage from solid state of water yo its liquid state. there is no change in the properties of the substance and no new substance is formed.
