                                             Time is Destructive

Time can be destructive or productive, depending upon how an individual uses it but looking at the present scenario, what we see is that it is more destructive than productive. Social media is the top example. According to researches, an individual spends about 136 minutes on social media per day. That is more than two hours wasted on looking through people's photographs. Television and mobile games are only additional to this. With technology delivering convenience, bringing everything from grocery to food to one's doorstep, there is all the more time in an individual's hands, but all wasted in the wrong place. Having too much time in one's hands can be dangerous too. It is rightfully said that idle minds are the devil's workshop.
There are ample opportunities on the web for those who look for it. From free learning courses to work-from-home opportunities, the way we use it depends upon us.

Here are a few of my words on the given topic:

Time is one of the most precious things a person has in his lifetime. As the saying goes, 'Time and tide wait for none'. It is upto the individual whether he makes best use of his time or lets it go down the drain. In today's world, there are a lot of distractions that try to pull us away from our goals and aspirations. While time can be the most precious asset a person has, it can also be a tool of destruction if not utilized properly.

In his prime, a person can either waste his time lazing around or actually work towards his ambitions and make his mark in the society. For today's teenagers, smartphones and other such "smart" gadgets prove to be very destructive as they destroy time, health, creativity and physical activity. Time must be spent on the Internet judiciously. Unknowingly, we spend hours together sometimes in front of these gadgets without being aware of it at all. Thus, we waste a huge amount of precious time everyday and it all adds up to account for a huge loss of time which could have been otherwise spent in some other activity. We must limit our time spent online and use it only for tasks that actually benefit us.

For example, playing sports outside in the open may lead to the loss of a few hours of time, however it provides us the much-needed physical exercise, mental peace and also allows us to break free from our monotonous routine for some time.
Similarly, social media can be a great way for us to know what's going on in the world and stay connected with people. However, it can also lead to much loss of time which gets spent scrolling through the countless number of photos and posts.

The right work must be performed at the right time. We must always have a policy in our life that forces us to complete our tasks well before time. Last minute jobs are never perfect, and do not provide the satisfaction of the job being completed in a perfect way. We must avoid the habit of delaying jobs and ensure that they are done as soon as possible.

We must think before performing any task. Once you tread down a road, it is usually difficult to come back and start all over again. We must promise to complete the tasks we take upon ourselves without looking back. Stopping a task mid-way and heading back to the drawing board after starting is a major waste of time.

Thus, time is an asset we must all judiciously use for the right tasks so that it actually turns out to be productive and useful, not destructive.
