When iron nails are added in copper sulphate solution , displacement reaction will takes place . Iron being more reactive than copper, reacts with copper sulphate solution and replaces copper by itself and form ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) .

Fe + CuSO4 = FeSO4 + Cu

Copper sulphate (CuSO4 )is blue in colour where as iron(Fe) is slightly green in colour .Thus thr colour of the solution changes and turns slightly green from blue colour.

The above answer is correct.
