Answer:

Photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

Answer:

photosynthesis is the chemical process through which green plants prepar their own food with the help of carbondioxide and water in presence of chlorophyll. photosynthesis occurs in two stages.

the first stage is known as light dependent reaction; light energy is captured and used to make the energy storage molecules called ATP( Adenosive Triphosphate).the other reaction is dark reaction.

light reaction is faster than the dark reaction.light energy is absorbed by chlorophyll.the chlorophyll is activated and it converts light energy into chemical energy in the form of ATP. it occurs in the grana of the chloroplast. oxygen is formed from reactions involving hydroxyl ions.

during the dark reaction the hydrogen ions and chemical energy are used to reduce carbon dioxide to form glucose. this reaction is purely enzymatic and can occur in presence or absence of light.it occurs in the stroma of the chroloplast.
