Last year I had an occasion to join a picnic party. The spot the members selected was San Ghagara in keonjhar. Our party consisted of fifteen members. We made previous preparation for the picnic. We made arrangements for lunch according to the choice and taste of the members. The picnic was organized in the month of December.
We arranged for some musical instruments for the entertainment programme. We hired a city ride van for our journey. We started from Bhubaneswar at 7.30 am and reached there around quarter past ten.
Sanaghagara is a place of natural beauty surrounded by trees and mountains on all sides. It was an unforgettable sight replete with scenic beauty. we were charmed by the appealing beauty of the place. We went on walking here and there, climbing the hills. Some of our friends had taken the camera with them. They took snaps of different parts of odisha. Everybody appeared ecstatic. A cook was engaged in cooking the food. So we roamed immense pleasure. Some of us found pleasure in bathing in the water of the stream flowing close by.
The items prepared by the cook were sumptuous. Everyone took their meals with their hearts content. Before eating we enjoyed the song sung by the friends and from the CD player.
Our return journey as enjoyable. At about four thirty we prepared to leave. When we got into the vehicle some of us started singing and others started joking. On the way our bus stopped at Ghatgaon. We visited the famous Maa Tarini Temple to have pleasure. After one hour we returned to our bus. We reached home around nine o'clock.
We enjoyed the picnic very much. It was an occasion which we can't forget. When we recollected the day, it gave us joy.
