Proofs of Indian contacts have been found with other parts of the world during the ancient and medieval period. Some of them are as follow:

India's ports always provided the foreign travelers and traders an attraction to visit India for exploration and business.

During the reign of Ashoka, the spread of Buddhism is well known as King Ashoka sent his own children to the other parts of Asia.

During ancient period Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsangand Fahiyan visited India and its account is present in the history.

Macro Polo from Italy, Al-Beruni and Abdul Razaak from Persia, Megasthenese from Greece and Ibn Batuta from Morroco were the travelers who came to India to explore our riches and know about our systems. There is a mention in the history that foreign scholars came to Patli Putra University in the past.

Many traders came to India for trade as India was a good market for spices, cotton.

Afghanis, Portugues, and Alexander from Macedonia came to India to explore
India.
