The people of Rajasthan in 1994 have pioneered the struggle on the right to information when the poor peasants in rural area first made a strong demand for the right to information. The initiative for this struggle came out of a process by the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sanghatan (MKSS) for the right livelihood.
