Anne initially describes Mrs. van Daan as a friendly, teasing woman, but later calls her an instigator. She is a fatalist and can be petty, egotistical, flirtatious, stingy, and disagreeable.

Mrs Van Daan is a stubborn selfish and vain women .she is fond of luxury she is fond of her food she is a critical women who tried desperately to look into the matter of anne Frank she is critical of amount of vegetable that the girls took on their plates she is hypercritical and flirtatious as well.
