The Indian caste system is highly rigid . It is like a pyramid with the higher classes being denoted at the top and the lower classes at the bottom . This has changed now but still some believes persist among people .

Short note on caste system

↪ The Brahmins occupy a higher section in the society . They occupy a very respectable position in the society and is at the top of the pyramid .

↪ Then came the rulers ( though they are not present nowadays ) . In the olden days , the ruling class was just after the Brahmins .

↪ Then came the wealthy rich merchants and traders

↪ The Kshatriyas or the military men were after them .

↪ Then came the Shudras and then the depressed Scheduled castes .

↪ The depressed classes nowadays get better opportunities due to reservations .

↪ The Right to equality somewhat provides equality thus removing class system .
