Pesticides are required for various reasons. A few are as follows:

1) At farms and agricultural fields

2) Around places with open water bodies such as canals

3) To simply get rid of common pests(cockroaches,etc)

It is a good practice to occasionally have sessions for post control but over doing it can be harmful for all the animals,plants,soil and humans which come in contact with it on a regular basis.
