The peninsular plateau is a table land It is composed of the oil crystalline igneous and Metamorphic rock. It was formed as a result of breaking and drifting of gondwanaland .Hence it is the oldest landmass The plateau is a senile topography represented by broad and Shallow valley and rounded Hills. The play doh consists of two broad division. 1 . Central Highlands 2. The Deccan Plateau. The part of Peninsular plateau line to the north of Narmada river cover a major area of Malwa plateau.
