Answer

\bigstar Green plants use the method called photosynthesis to prepare their own food. They are mainly called as autotrophs. The process of making food is as follows :-

  1. The water is taken from the roots of the plants and it is transported to leaves on the plant. It's transported to the leaves because, they are the food factories of the plant which makes the food.
  2. Carbon dioxide from the air enters the air through the pores called as stomata. This diffuses the cell containing chlorophyll. The pores are also used in gas exchange in plants.
  3. Water molecule is broken down into Hydrogen and Oxygen with the help of sunlight.
  4. Hydrogen combines with the oxygen and hydrogen to form carbohydrates.
