one side of the moon get illuminated by the sun Which is visible to us.the side which is to be relation with the sun changes every day. when the moon is fully hidden from our view is called the new moon day. the visible portion goes on increasing day by day after the new moon day . the day when moon is fully visible to us is called the full moon day
