Give a brief discription on dakshan ganaga

The Godavari River is known as Dakshin Ganga ( Ganga Of South). Godavari River is the larger river of the South India. It forms the largest river basin in the south as Ganga forms in the North. But Godavari Basin is much smaller than the Ganga Basin. Thus the vast area, great length and rich culture and heritage is comparable to Ganga river, so, that is why they are called Dakshin Ganga.
