Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
The poem A Mother in a Refugee Camp highlights the unconditional love of a mother for her children in the camp. Although she had lost her son, the mother cared for her son just as much as when he was alive. She had the smile of a mother’s pride on her face as she went about attending to her son.
To begin with, the mother bathed her son and rubbed his body with her bare palms. After that, she took a broken comb from her belongings and began to comb his rust-colored hair. She then began to part the hair carefully. At this point, the poet states that the mother would have earlier done this when the before the child had breakfast or left to school. The only difference now was that the son was no more and she did it with the same spirit of putting the flowers on his grave.
