The Ironmaster was a rich person. He was the owner of a large iron factory named Ramsjo Ironwork. He was kind hearted and friendly. Initially, when he mistakes the rattrap seller as his old friend, he tried to help him. He did not insult him because of his worn out condition, rather showed him much respect. He took him to his own house and cared for him. When he realized his mistake he was angry with the poor man and wanted to throw him out of his house. Nevertheless, on his daughter’s request, he behaved nicely with him.
