Lencho was a simpleton.He lived in a house on the top of a hill with his family .He nourished his family members with love and affection.He lived happily with his wife and children.He was hard working and always worked in his field like an ox. He was a true beliver of god and did his work with dedication and devotion keeping deep faith in god .He had the ability to face his problems. So,when his entire corn field was destroyed by the hailsrom,he didnot loose heart and consoled his family that none on the earth dies of hunger. He knew that only god could help him in his days of distress.So he wrote a letter to god to send him 100 pesos to sow his field again and to run his family till the next crops came Coincidental the letter reached the hand of a kind hearten post master who helped him with 70 pesos in the name of god .

Lencho was an ox of a man who works hard in his field .

He was a farmer .

Even though he was a farmer ,he knew how to write a letter .He was literate enough.

He intimately knew about his field .

He did not lose his hope ,but after the destruction of his field by the hailstorm,he was gloomy and sad .

He had a lot of faith in God because he was a "Theist."

After the hailstorm , he could see his bleak future .

He shares and cares about his future with his wife .

He had so much patience because throughout the morning he was gazing at the sky in the north - east direction.

He did not have faith in human beings , because he considers the post office employees as a bunch of crooks .He enjoys felling the pleasure of the nature .He is naive and unquestioning.

He is so innocent .
