• Mr. Wright - He is indifferent to his new neighbors and wishes that Lillian would mind her own business. He works, watches the game, and ignores his wife’s gossip.
• Mrs. Wright - She is curious about her new neighbors. She is a homemaker and a nosy neighbor.
• Mrs. Sakkaro - She is enigmatic. She is from a foreign country; people Americans do not understand and therefore judge. She is sweet and pleasant.
