Mainly two types of plant hormones.
one is growth promoter and another one is growth inhibitor.
1. Growth promoter :
Auxins, gibberellin and cytokinins are the plant hormone that promotes growth in the plant in different ways.
Auxin : Responsible for elongation in phototropism and gravitropism.
And other growth processes in plant life cycle.
Cytokinins : Involves in plant growth and division.
Gibberellin : stimulate seed germination, shoot elongation and flower maturation.
2.Growth inhibitor :
Abscisic acid : inhibitor of stem elongation, and inducing bud dormancy.
Ethylene : controls fruit ripening, flower wilting, leaf fall and and stimulating the conversion of the starch and acids to sugar.
