In the poem, the poet remembers the sea beach premises at Puri Dham.
Poet also can listen to the endless cawing of crows along with the loudspeaker voice drawing his attention at the outset.
He afterward notices a skull dug in the sea and near the cremation ground.
The skull is a part of a body that was not properly cremated and has not been completely burnt by the pyre.
This skull is a sign of blaming abject due to poverty and spiritual handicap of Puri, in spite of all the religious greatness.
