sorry but take a look at this
For unique solution a1/a2 should not be equal to b1/b2 ...so 4/k =1/1
if we cross multiply them we get k is equal to 4...
Bt as the question says it is a unique solution so we'll write it as k should bt be equal to 4
hope it helps you

Answer:
Parallel Lines:
Two lines are said to be parallel to each other if they never meet (intersect) with each other.
- The distance between the lines always remains the same.
- Parallel lines help in understanding the relationship between paths of object and sides of shapes (example: rectangle has opposite sides parallel and equal, a parallelogram has opposite sides parallel)
- Examples: Zebra crossing on the road, Rail tracks, etc.
- Lines AB and CD are parallel on a plane surface.
- Denoted by pair of vertical lines ( ) ;.
Answer: A set of two or more lines that never intersect and are always the same distance apart from each other are called parallel lines.
More information:
For defining these terms, we should have knowledge about the following:
- Point: A point is an exact position on a plane surface. It is usually denoted by a capital single letter (say 'X').
- Line: A line is the shortest distance between two points.
- Surface: A portion of space having length and breadth but no thickness.
- Angle: An angle is defined as a figure that is formed at the place where two lines meet. It is measured in degree or radian.
